Another block for me

At last  block 5, I'll try to get a move on for a change.

Six Blocks Together..

It is sew nice to have my six blocks stitched together but I was very sad when I pressed them that I left a scorch mark.




Thank goodness Mr Google  had a solution. I gave it a gentle wash with diluted vinegar and the mark come out. Lucky me….

Block 5

Christmas Fun block 5.  I love this block!

It now resides with the other blocks on my Design Wall:

I must get some more traced out ready to go......

Block 6 finished…

While visiting my DD2s in Perth we both joined in for FNSI last Friday and I completed Block 6.


Now I can join my 6 blocks together…………

Eeeeeeek what have I done ???? Oh no.....

OMG what have I done,I felt pretty happy with myself actually finishing another block but and its a biggy....I have cut the block back 1/2inch short...... can you believe it ?    Now what to do as I'm not going to do it again thats for sure so I will put it aside and keep working on the other blocks and make a decision later.

That's what I get for telling you Sarah that you put the patchwork on the wrong side so now you can have the last laugh....... I will laugh about it soon I promise...... not just yet though.  

I hope your blocks are going better than mine.... so don't forget the old rule...... measure twice and cut once.......

Block 4

Block 4 of my Christmas Fun is now finished.  This block too SO long to do, probably because of the detail of the vine and mine is quite full.  I only wish now that I did the applique of the angels BEFORE I did the vine as the halo's disappear a little in the vine.  I am not going to do it again lol.....
